Nature never ceases to impress me. The sacred geometrical patterns are enchanting and hypnotic. Have you ever stared at a cauliflower before preparing it and gotten lost in its stunningly beautiful pattern?

How is nature able to build such glorious objects? What rules these sacred patterns?

Nature is full of fractal patterns which can be seen in clouds, lightning bolts, crystals, snowflakes, mountains, blood vessels and, of course, food. A fractal defines a pattern that, when you take a small part of it, looks similar, although perhaps not identical, to its full structure. For example, the leaf of a fern tree resembles the full plant and a river’s tributary resembles the shape of the river itself. The fractal pattern of the cauliflower plant is ubiquitous and can be spotted in numerous living and non-living systems.

In the Cauliflower Tree – each tiny floret of a cauliflower is like a fascinating Tree of Life – symbolizing a continuity of life in spite of what we call death. Trees lose their leaves and seem to be dead during winter, but then new buds appear and new fresh leaves unfurl during the spring, becoming testimonials of the omnipresent force.

The next time you have cauliflower for dinner, take a moment to admire it before you eat it and connect with the infinite invisible force that is ordering everything, producing life, beauty, and harmony.

The Waheguru (ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ)mantra written all over the paintings in these series are a testimonial to that very omnipresence.
