Mai Bhago ji: Saint Soldier

This portrait celebrates Mai Bhago Ji, one of Sikh history’s most remarkable women. Formed through the continuous writing of Waheguru, the image reflects the inseparable union of spiritual devotion and courageous action.

Mai Bhago Ji inspired forty Sikhs who had abandoned the battlefield to return and stand for righteousness. She then fought beside them, embodying the Khalsa ideal of fearlessness, selfless service, and unwavering commitment to truth.

Through this work, I honour her legacy as a warrior, leader, and spiritual seeker whose example continues to inspire generations to rise above fear and live with courage and conviction.
