The Story

he All Pervading, Eternal, Vibrating Wordless Word – Shabad – is the only Guru, the True Master.
Enlightenment comes only to those who grasp the true essence of the Eternal Divine Song. Beyond this, the play of the innate self’s ‘Word-consciousness connection’ is different: –
It is beyond learning and teaching.
It is beyond understanding and making it understood.
It is beyond the reach of the intellect.
It is beyond rites and ritual.
It is beyond the sphere of religion.
It is beyond the debate of philosophy.
When the ‘direction’ of the mind becomes inward after meditation, then it becomes sublime. The reflection of the innermost consciousness falls on the sublime mind, or you can say that there is the shine of ‘Divine Illumination’ or that there is the ‘touch’ of ‘Naam’. When the spiritual consciousness awakens, ONLY then the true presence is known/felt of the Master.
– Excerpt from Wordless Word, Khoji
The word, Waheguru – ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ– is pronounced “Wah-hay-guroo.” Wah means Infinite, hay means Thou, and Guru means Higher Self, or the Divine Teacher within each sentient being.
This is the mantra which has been lovingly handwritten minutely in the painting to portray the omnipresent Divine energy.

The Inspiration

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕਮਲੁ ਪਰਗਾਸਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਜਾਗੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
The heart-lotus deep within has blossomed forth, and through the Guru, spiritual wisdom has been awakened within.
– Guru Granth Sahib, p. 845
