The Story
If Thou Be Mine
I need no church nor mosque, if Thou art mine;
If my face turns to the direction where Thou art,
If I am bathed in the light of Thy glance, and my mind thinks not,
I have religion enough in me;
Enough, that I have One who receives the offerings of my heart.
Thou art my Prophet, God, Mecca, Mosque and Shrine.

The Inspiration
Divine romance is different from all forms of romances. The heart is
like a shining sun, a garden of sacred secrets, a boundless desert or
an ocean without shores. Khoji (Divine Love) talks about this type of
romance in his writings – Divine Love. He calls it a vibrating and blissful
Love-Religion, beyond the comprehension and grasp of our limited
human intelligence. It needs no man-made: conventions, dogmas, rites,
rituals, theories, sermons, and philosophies. This golden thread of ‘Divine
Love’ is: all-pervading, all-embracing, all-loving, eternal, spontaneous,
in-laid, inherent, innate, in all hearts and souls, which govern, direct and
motivate all subtle deep feelings and actions of life.” The infatuated
pilgrim imbued with love moves along the pathways of life, singing
the song of the beloved from his/her pure radiant heart, spreading the
sunshine of divine bliss, joy and love, all around.
